My New Sewing Machine
For Christmas I got a new sewing machine, which I am super excited about! I have so many projects that I want to do with it. One of the first projects was to make curtains for Isabelles dresser in her room. Here is a picture, I made them out of fitted bed sheets so that they would match her bedroom theme! I'm so excited.. what am I going to make next??

Yep that is ribbon on top, I sewed it on, you can't really tell from the picture but there is green in the pattern and the ribbon is green as well. I'm having a lot of fun with that sewing machine, my next project will be curtains for the living room I think!
well if Iz is a regular pooper and you are up to the daunting task you can start making CLOTH DIAPERS!
No Way!! haha! It's worth the extra $$$ to me for the convience of regular diapers.. I'd be washing diapers all the time!
Oh - I love them - what a rewarding first project! And the sheet idea is handy so you didn't hav eto hem them - I am too lazy to hem things correctly.

Did you have to sew the ribbon on the top and bottom or did one row of stitches across the whole thing work?
Thanks!! Well, they were fitted sheets so the first thing I had to do is take out all the hems and remove the elastic. Then I cut the material into two pieces and had to hem all the sides again, and then I sewed ribbon on the top part of it where the rod goes through. It's been fun, I've been super domestic lately.. maybe next Christmas I will make everyone something on the sewing machine.. hehe..
